Sunday letter to readers and a simple introduction of some seasonal wild and pure organic vegetables and fruits of Thar Desert.
Sunday letter to readers
Dear Reader
Happy Sunday! Good After Noon, Good Evening,
I just wanted to let you remind that, after four days on May 01, 2020 (on international Labor Day), I am going to start the, 30 days 30 blogs challenge under the theme of “Every day a new story”. Those who are agreeing to join kindly share your links for adding in my first blog post; ‘Every day a new story: Five reasons my website name is worldineyes’.
I don’t know, how you are facing the situation, but I hope you will be happy with this Sunday. I understand the difficulties of lockdown and continuous staying at home. The queen season “Spring” is ending, and the temperature is going up day by day, in May it will reach 50 degree.
Desert wild and organic vegetables and fruits
I belong to the Thar Desert Pakistan, it is the world’s 17th largest desert and the world’s 9th largest subtropical desert. It is a fertile desert, we get many organic and pure wild vegetables, fruits, and medicinal plants.
It is the flowering time of Khejri/Kandi (Prosopis cineraria) tree (a king tree of the desert) and Ker (Capparis decidua) plant.
The pods of the Kandi (Prosopis cineraria) are called ‘Singhri’ which is the very famous vegetable of the desert. The Singhri is one of the traditional cuisines of the Thar Desert, we used the pods in various types of vegetables (Bhaaji).
The flower of ker (Capparis decidua) is called Phulli and fruit is called ker. We used both flowers of ker and fruit of ker for vegetables. The ker vegetable is a particular favorite of the housewives, as it can be cooked in a few minutes.
In the coming month of May, we will get one another fruit ‘peelu’ of Khabar/Jar (Salvadora persica) tree. The peelu is small in size, but it is very much tasty and favorite fruit of birds and goats too.
Thank you all for taking the time to read my post, in other words, writing.
Best Wishes
Abu Janus

Invitation for 30 Days 30 Blog Challenge for May 2020
Last Updated: April 26, 2020
Sounds like a wonderful place! The temperatures here are climbing as well!
Good luck on the 30 Day Challenge!
I have never heard of any of those fruits before, but it was interesting to read about them. Best of luck as you complete the 30 day challenge!
I can’t wait to read about your challenge! If I wasn’t just wrapping up a different one I’d totally join you. I’ll have to keep my eye out for another one later on.
This looks so good! I miss eating healthy! I should get back to it!
Thank you for your briefing on vegetable life in the Thar Desert! Very enlightening. I wish you a happy week, and good luck on your 30 day challenge ahead.
wow. your place is abundant of many goods! Love it. good luck as well to your challenge. <3
Amazing how many fruits and vegetables we have yet to discover. I have never heard of any of these vegetables and fruits from the Thar Desert!
It was really interesting to read about the different vegetation that you have in your area. We are doing well here, all things considered. Having a nice backyard that we can spend time in is really helping the whole staying home thing. At least we can relax outside in the fresh air and enjoy the sunshine as it starts warming up again. I can’t wait until the weather is warm enough to open up the pool!!
This is my first time to learn about those wild but organic fruits and vegetables. Thanks for sharing!
Good luck with doing thirty blogs in thirty days. That would be quite a challenge. And I would love to check out a new fruit. Sounds lovely.
